Authorities say a grenade launcher, loaded with a live grenade, was left with other donated items at a Florida Goodwill store.
The Bradenton Herald reports that employees at a Goodwill store near Tampa reported the weapon on Sunday.
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office says the store manager told deputies that the grenade launcher had come in a shipment from another store several days earlier. The employees at the other location said they sent it along because they didn't know what it was.

I heard they have good deals, but this was a great deal!
This promotion really bombed.
Someones been nagging their husband to clean out the garage for the past 40 years
I never find good deals there like that either.
No pictures of launcher or grenade.
Probably a CS or training grenade. It would not have been a high explosive or fragmentation grenade, or they would not have “disposed” of it in a haz-mat locker.
Looks like they kept the launcher too.
Likely a perfectly legal 37mm launcher and smoke grenade.
When old guys liquidate their fire arms its always good to check the chamber before pulling the trigger.
Florida is so weird...
Impossible to say what was found from the article. It could have been the real deal.
More likely, it was a 37mm launcher with smoke or chalk.
Another story said that it was an Airsoft.
Got to love it though. One store doesn’t know what to do with it so they send it to another store.
More likely Someone cleaned out the garage while hubby was not around and had no idea of what she was sending to Goodwill. Yipes!
Seriously, get off my lawn.
Fla has nothing to do with this incident, could’ah happened anywhere
Got a few here, but even getting dummy training grenades from the 50s/60s/70s is difficult.
You can launch tennis balls all day long, that don’t freak anyone out, but put something with fins on the spigot, and its freak out city. :)

I live in Florida. If I see a really strange story, I look for the Florida dateline... more weird things seem to happen here than other places.
I heard from a reliable source that a box of live WWII land mines showed up at a local auction house.
The weirdest bit to me is how a NATO grenade launcher ended up on an AK 47 of SKS!
Ahh.. the cold war...
Yes. It turned out to be a toy.
Freak out! LOL Mamamabeangum!
