Neither is acquiring or conduct oppo research.
It has nothing to do with official abuse of power because neither Don Jr or the Trump attorney Hopeb Hicks were government officials.
And their activity is protected by theb First Amendment.

Meanwhile Peggy Noonan claims to be worried that the Republicans will lose the House and Trump will be impeached. More likely she is hoping for that to happen.

What’s collusion? What does it involve? Nightly prayers, morning chanting and afternoon meditation? How about illegal campaign donations from Foreign government in service or in kind? Isn’t that essentially what the Trump dossier was? An illegal campaign donation from the DNC and Hillary?
They can’t even get a claim of hacking out properly ... not when the chief campaign manager is using passwords like password and the candidate uses unsecured servers both professionally and during her campaign.

You misjudge Peggy. True, she drank the kool-aid and hoped Obama really would unify the country, but it didn’t take her very long to figure him out. She has written a number of very good columns attempting to explain Trump to the Washington establishment that I think are very insightful. She gets Trump supporters and gets that we are anything but “deplorables.”
