They are correct, actually. The classified material is classified by the executive. The House has the power to disclose classified information to the public even over reasoned objections from the executive. It's part of checks and balances.
Not that the executive can't disclose it on his own, just that the procedure that is running is a committee-initated one, that has the committee disclosing classified information. If the president objects, a majority of the House can still disclose.
