Perhaps Father Jonathon can help me understand why:
1) Mexicans that shop at (my employer’s) home improvement building supply store in “flyover country” predominately speak Spanish.
2) Lowes Stores have isle content signs in Spanish & English
3) ALL Banks / ATMs in my small town REQUIRE a manual keypad entry if you choose to conduct business in ENGLISH instead of a foreign language (Spanish).
4)When I attend 4th of July picnic in local small town, I see T-shirts with large letters on front with a Mexican flag:
“I am NOT Hispanic
I am NOT Latino
I am Mexican and proud of it!”
5) 22% of students at my children’s elementary school are “Limited English proficiency”.
The number has to be much larger than 11 million illegals based on what I see in small town In daily at home improvement stores, shopping, driving, public notice arrest & incident records.
My only conclusion is there must be an extremely large local population of non-citizen, non-English speaking people in my “flyover country” community - FAR more than the 11.1 million numbers publicly cited in the entire USA. Also, that many of them (like Muslims in immigration Jihad) have NO intention whatsoever of assimilation by adapting our culture, language, customs and gaining citizenship.
