I said it on the Live thread but it bears repeating: Trump's focus was on the Americans in the crowd who he wanted to celebrate; his predecessor's focus was exclusively on himself. "I, I, I..." So sick of that.
The Dems humiliated themselves tonight, and it didn't have to be like that. Polite applause, a nod of respect to the office if not to the man, these things would have conferred a dignity of a loyal opposition, which they are very obviously not. And they're the losers for it.
