It seems to me that the concept of cultural appropriation is at odds with the concept of diversity. In this case, wouldn't yoga benefit from the diversity of its practitioners?
“Cultural appropriation” and “diversity” are not at odds, because only whites can be guilty of “cultural appropriation”, and only non-whites can be considered “diversity”. So non-whites can take whatever they want from white culture, but whites must never take anything from non-whites.
In response to the article, Indian women generally already know how to do yoga, so they have no need for classes.
