breaking: DOJ Inspector General CANCELS Tuesday’s Congressional Briefing on FBI’s Mis-TRUNC

Department of Justice Inspector General canceled his Tuesday Congressional briefing on the FBI’s Clinton investigation.

Earlier today Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was removed from his post at the FBI.

This came the day after FBI Director visited Capitol Hill to read the 4-page House Intelligence FISA memo.

But the New York Times said McCabe’s resignation was linked to the Inspector General’s briefing that was planned on Tuesday.

In a recent conversation, Christopher A. Wray, the F.B.I. director, raised concerns about a forthcoming inspector general report examining the actions of Mr. McCabe and other senior F.B.I. officials during the 2016 presidential campaign, when the bureau was investigating both Hillary Clinton’s email use and the Trump campaign’s connections to Russia. In that discussion, according to one former law enforcement official close to Mr. McCabe, Mr. Wray suggested moving Mr. McCabe into another job, which would have been a demotion. Instead, the former official said, Mr. McCabe chose to leave. His departure was not announced at the bureau, leaving agents to learn of it from news reports.

But the plans have changed.

Inspector General Horowitz cancelled his Tuesday Congressional briefing on the FBI’s mishandling of the Clinton investigation.

Why do you keep presenting the Executive Branch as a separate entity than the IG. The IG is an office of the DOJ, which means it IS the Executive Branch.

The IG doesn’t prosecute but surely the IG compiles information that may be used in a criminal prosecution. By canceling his appearance tomorrow I think the IG gave a big hint that this is, in fact, the case.

I am waiting for the sperm stain on the blue dress. That was one of the most satisfying experiences of my adult life when there he was, Bill Clinton, with sperm all over his face, and at that point the media could do nothing to help him.

That is why Clinton and Obama sealed their medical records.

Sounds like a lot of people are panicking.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The shit has just begun hitting the fan.

If the IG is now refusing to brief Congress it can only be for one reason. Indictments are about to be issued by a Grand Jury.

The question is whether they will drain the Obama created swamp at DOJ and the FBI, or select a couple of sacrificial lambs.

Obama himself may be indicted.

And the IG's answer...to who?

Who’s cutting a deal in exchange for a lighter sentence?

My spidey sense is telling me that the cabal inside the FBI/DOJ has lost its grip, and that everyone is running scared.

I get a feeling that there's a general atmosphere of 'every man for himself' pervading those agencies right now.

In my organization the IG’s report would be turned over to CID for prosecution.

Found this on the NY Post page, it clarifies things for me a bit.

“But his sudden exit came after Wray expressed concern about an upcoming inspector general’s report about McCabe’s and other senior FBI officials’ performance during the 2016 presidential campaign, when the feds were investigating Hillary Clinton’s emails and Team Trump’s ties to Russia, The New York Times reported.

Wray offered McCabe, 49, a transfer that the veteran FBI man saw as a demotion.

So he decided to pack it in on Monday.

But he’ll remain on the payroll using accrued time off until mid- March, when he maxes out his pension benefits.”

Darn it all! I wanted him to be really FIRED...as in “ leave the building now, no bennies for you, no golden parchute for traitors.”

MSM stooges are spinning like whirling dervishes as we type. Allowing this memo to be released is worse than when Trump hired those Hookers in Moscow!

It's not up to the IG to withhold documents to Congress. And I don't think that's what he's doing here.

The lay of the land here is that Sessions is crap.

The majority view of Sessions on this website is completely justified, and the President himself agrees with us.

Freeper Free Reign saved a quote from the President that backs up that statement. Perhaps he'll re-post it in a reply to this post.

Sessions has done nothing to earn our faith and trust. On the contrary, he's done plenty to earn our enmity and disgust.

What narrative with the MSM stooges concentrate on tomorrow? Will it be today’s Trump had poor McCabe fired and Nunes will destroy all American intell networks with his memo? Or will they concentrate on trying to blow up the SOTU?
So many lies, so little time to tell them.

The IG can certainly withhold documents from Congress when necessary. Congress can disband the IG’s office if they want, but until they do that the IG operates under the authority that is given to him by statute.

That NYT report can be dismissed as fake news. Does anyone really believe the Deputy FBI Director would be given a transfer less than two months before his already announced retirement?

I said the same thing tonight. Feels like the Monica mess all over again. Granted the only commonality is the name Clinton.

The fake media hopefully will be the next to go down. They need to be exposed for the bribery, blackmail, and corruption that has gone on way too long.

Possible the IG is holding off to avoid throwing shade on President Trump’s SOTU address.

That's my view as well. I also believe Trump has told Sessions he will take the lead and coordinate on all things relating to both the Nunes Memo and those relating to Mueller's SC activities.

These are such enormous threats to his presidency as well as to the nation that they need to be handled with one public voice. The SOTU address may be one for the history books.

Which quote? There are a bunch :).

Try this one, in November, from Fox...

Trump slams Sessions, DOJ for not going after Clinton, DNC
