A California high school teacher and local politician is being investigated after a student clandestinely recorded his apparent anti-military rant.
Administrators at a high school in Pico Rivera, Calif., east of Los Angeles, are looking into comments Councilman Gregory Salcido allegedly made to his students.
"Think about the people you know who are over there [in the military]. They're your freaking stupid Uncle Louie or whatever," Salcido said, according to the audiotape.
"They're dumb [expletives]. They're not high level bankers, they're not academic people, they're not intellectual people," he said. "They're the freaking lowest of the low."

Moral imbeciles like this teacher ought to be shipped to the most war torn areas of the Middle East, there to await their rescue by bankers. And oh yes-—they should be advised not to hold their breath while waiting.

That depends on your definition of “diversity”. In Leftist parlance, “diversity” = “anything but whites”, so a 99%-hispanic student body would be extremely “diverse”.

Totally captures arrogance and self-induced blindness of the left, and the problem with academics.
Once upon a time I was working an IT gig at the local skool district.
I had gotten word that my son’s unit had taken an IED hit with casualties
I was sitting on a bench outside the work area trying to wrap my head around the news and praying my son was till alive when a teach stopped and asked what was wrong.
After I explained the situation - she got a puzzled look and then asked “Isn’t your son smart enough to go to college’?
That is close as I have ever come to belting a women.
I took a breath - then said ‘Actually he had a full ride scholarship to OSU - in Education. But instead, he decided to do something important with his life...”
I started looking for another job that afternoon....
Maybe you should have slugged her in the interest of equality — and then tell her since she believes in “equality” therefore you gave her equal treatment — if a man had mouthed off like she did, he would have been slugged.
Swill. Sadly he represents too many of the people who are employed in our K-12 education bureaucracy.

You’re right. The reality is that politics and the media select for narcissists. It’s all about them. I would bet many of these people were ‘the special child’ at home growing up. Their report cards were posted on the refrigerator, along with gold stars. They’ve never emotionally matured enough to get beyond themselves. It’s sad, and destructive.
