“New Zealand man who made online death threats towards former FBI director James Comey during his visit has been sentenced to 180 hours of community service.
The threats, made by Frank Stewart McLean, 32, during Comey’s visit to New Zealand in April, forced the evacuation of the United States Embassy in Wellington.
At Rotorua District Court, McLean’s lawyer Erin Reilly said he was “extremely remorseful for his offending”, which involved email and social media threats.”
This looks like confirmation to me.
