If they ever decide to do a remake of Naked Gun, John Avlon could be perfect in the role of Detective Frank Drebin. On CNN today, Avlon gave a great impersonation of Drebin’s “move on, nothing to see here” moment. Instead of an exploding building, here it was an exploding scandal that Avlon was trying to dismiss as not noteworthy.
Avlon called President Trump’s tweet about the FBI having “lost” 50,000 text messages between two Trump-hating agents a mere “distraction and deflection” from “the real scandal,” which according to Avlon is the investigation into possible Russia/Trump collusion.

As usual, CNN tries to make the news instead of reporting it.
Since they’re irresponsible for reporting truthful news, without Trump-bashing, perhaps they should be totally removed from broadcasting anything....period.
I believe it’s going to come out that everybody switched to new phones right after Trump won and the FBI “forgot” to set up the back up system.
I have a gut feeling this could be a plot to make republicans look bad....the texts will be found and nothing major is in them....giving less credit to the memo and Anti FBI stuff
if you watched Hannity last night everyone was “all in” about these texts....would make every look really silly and nutty if they are found and nothing is in them
i guess whitewater was a distraction also with the 12 or whatever missing minutes from the tape.

We didn’t need these missing text to have major scandals for which to investigate the Clintons, Obama, the FBI and CIA, etc. This is a diversion. Where is our uraninium; how did the Clintons get filthy rich and never worked; how do we drain the swamp?

This number has to include more than just these two. I mean, I’d be something like 75 emails a DAY over the course of 2 years. What were these guys passing? Love notes? Were they like:
“I’m looking at the insurance policy (dossier) we’re creating whole cloth and I’m so stoked and thinking of you!”
“Oh, tell me about it, I’ve found a massive new clue about Trump.”
“Rhymes with rump?”
“Beyoch!!!”

I wonder what evidence will "go missing" next week? An "IT error at the DNC?" Maybe a break in and theft or destruction of equipment and records at the Clinton Foundation? Or maybe we're about due for another "accidental" death in the Clinton circle of life fraud?
