I think it woke me up but i sleep on a huge thick memory foam mattress so it might have rocked but no i didn’t hear house creakings or anything.
But an 8.2 is serious!
I bet Hawaii is woke up by now, if it was the wrong kind of plate subduction it could send a tsunami out, but from initial reports it wasn’t.

I was just reading recently about the 9.6 quake in 1700 at the Strait of Juan De Fuca.
Tsunami warning in effect for southeast and south Alaska, Alaska peninsula, Aleutian islands and British Columbia in Canada. Tsunami watch in effect for California, Oregon and Washington.

I just read on one site that it was 6.2 miles deep. Maybe one of our resident experts can tell us what that might mean in terms of tsunami formation.

Anyone hearing confirmation of tsunami? Still 25 min to Sitka, no sirens at last report. But other areas should have seen by now.
