Idiot! They’re not going to vote Republican no matter what.
I saw a pretty good article a while back arguing that since attorneys are Officers of the Court, they are ineligible to hold public office.
How about we stop catering to identity-politics and understand that NO “community” of voters should be categorized as “our voters”!! NOT for the Democrats and NOT for the Republicans!!
Every person is an individual and we should be treating each of them as individuals, not as a race or an income bracket or as anything other than an INDIVIDUAL HUMAN VOTER!
The sooner Republicans get back to this premise (which is one of the things that helped Trump win - he didn’t play the identity politics), the sooner we can stop all this B.S. law breaking and we will start voting for AMERICANS again!!
I would tell Linda Grahamnesty to SHOVE IT, but I’m certain he would enjoy that way too much!! So, how about I tell that useless POS to just GO AWAY!! Reagan’s amnesty PROVES that mass-amnesty does NOT guarantee a mass change of heart from one political party to another.
People’s votes are not typically based on heritage or skin color, they are usually dependent upon whom they think will help them succeed in their lifestyle - PERIOD! Those individuals who want Government handouts will continue to vote for the Socialists masquerading as Democrats and those who want Freedom will vote for Republicans - PERIOD!
What a D@#*!!!This clown needs to be replaced. Wake up South Carolina!!!!
“When the Democrats ignore the national security of the United States to get the votes of illegal aliens, it’s shameful and disgusting. When Republicans try to emulate them, it’s shameful, disgusting and also pathetic.”
Agreed. Plus, let’s look at the absurdity of Graham’s argument, and that of all Republicans who use the argument that demographic shifts dictate we change our positions in order to get more Hispanic voters. First, the reason that we’re talking about demographic shifts is precisely because of selective immigration of specific groups - legal and illegal. In 2015, immigrants from Mexico represented 27% of all immigrants in the US. The next closest group were immigrants from India, representing 6%. This, to my knowledge, does not reflect illegal immigrants, so the percentage from Mexico could be substantially higher. Further, Mexico is but one country from which Hispanic immigration occurs.
The point is that if anything we have been much more open to immigration by Hispanics than any other groups (although recently China and India have become the biggest sources of legal immigrants). We selectively created an unbalanced and rapid demographic shift in the US by the lack of a good immigration policy, allowing chain migration, and not enforcing our borders. So, Graham’s solution is to pander to and provide amnesty to those groups whose numbers are increasing in the American demographic, rather than stopping illegal immigration, chain migration, and the selective immigration policies that have created the rapid demographic shift in the first place. That’s ludicrous, and not in the best interest of the nation that has prided itself on being a melting pot. To be a melting pot we all have to ‘melt’ in some way into the American stew. Immigration policy, and turning a blind eye to illegal immigration, has resulted in less integration and the creation of separatism.
I’ve said it many times: Republicans can’t out Democrat, the Democrats!
No matter WHAT the Republicans agree to give, even if it is as generous as what the Democrats are offering, the Democrats will offer MORE...because it isn’t their money they are offering - IT’S WE THE TAXPAYERS’ MONEY!!
Democrats would be more than willing to give away every dollar I make, if the Democrats were assured of getting the votes as a result!!
Great idea Linda, let’s turn the USA into one big California. /s
Well, thanks for showing what a liberal bigot you really are, Linda.
Never mind the quote in my tagline.
Lindsey Graham is the enemy....
Graham is the embodiment of what is wrong with the GOPe.
He is wrong: both "now" and "later".
His "later" plan is a complete non-starter with me - no way, no how.
As far as his "now" plan is concerned, I am not completely opposed to offering a conditional path to citizenship for individuals who were brought here illegally, from a non-muslim country, as children (I'd say at the age of 16 or younger, but I'm downwardly flexible on the exact age). Such individuals would also be required to have no criminal record of any kind.
I would require any individual who meets the above-mentioned requirements and who wants to obtain U.S. citizenship to honorably serve in the U.S. military for a minimum of four years. Anything other than an honorable discharge would result in immediate deportation, and even with an honorable discharge, the individuals' service records would be carefully reviewed to determine whether they are really deserving of U.S. citizenship.
Personally, I could live with a program such as the above as long as:
1) Those who administer it are monitored very closely for corruption;
2) The program "sunsets" after a set number of years;
3) The relatives of those who obtain citizenship under the program are given no special treatment;
4) Chain migration is eliminated in its entirety;
5) The visa lottery is eliminated in its entirety;
6) The southern border 'wall' is funded and built;
7) A serious and continuous effort is undertaken to find, detain and deport any/all illegal aliens who do not qualify for the conditional path to citizenship; and
8) Security at ALL of our borders and points of entry is drastically improved.
So, basically, I want to see comprehensive immigration reform before I am willing to support a conditional path to citizenship for the so-called DREAMERs.
THAT is a good point. Whatever one’s on DACA is, the issue is unrelated to the currently proposed “budget” (aka the latest continuing resolution).
F off Graham - send them home. They are not and never will be voters.
Idiot !!!
They wouldnt vote GOP...
and they should be voting back in Mexico where they are eligible...
That is one of his bigger accomplishments.
Actually, most politicians are unable to see America in any other way except as potential votes.
Most are self serving and have little ,or no, core principles.
Much less a understanding of, or true appreciation and respect for, the USC.
Hey, Goober
Most of them will NEVER BE YOUR VOTERS!
Democrats imported them specifically because they knew most of them would become willing members in the Free Sh*t Army.
I agree with you 100%.
