Any word on the status of US military installations presently in Turkey?

If anything, those facilities the US has within Turkey should be on lockdown, Too much is at stake to allow the Turks to gain access to the assets the US maintains there, which I believe, also includes nuclear weapons.

Turkey’s invasion of Syria is in pursuit of the Kurdish militia, the Peshmerga, which are very solid allies of the US forces in Iraq and Syria. While the Turks are fierce and even vicious fighters, they almost always come off badly when they engage directly with the Peshmerga, who are even more fierce and vicious, and it may prove to be a bridge too far for the Turks. Erdogan already has a very serious problem managing the Kurds within Turkey, and may have opened up a can of whup-azz on himself before this is settled.

When things are a little too quiet, kick the hornets’ nest. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
