Take into consideration another factor that preceded the Schumer shutdown that has paralyzed the balkers. MSM lost its credibility to the vast number of Americans since candidate and now President Trump has confronted and exposed them (and continues to do so) for who they really are - fakers writing fake news and also secret creatures of the Swamp, etc. Had a political outsider and street brawler like Mr Trump never been elected, ... things for the MSM and the Dems would still be like the “good old days.” However, the laws of nature eventually prevail - a corrupt house cannot endure. MSM has to clean itself out and it will take a long time, and great effort to do so - they have to tell the truth to start the long trek back to restoring some of its severely damaged reputation.

The RNC should have rolled out ads in every Red state where a Dem is a senator. Tell the voters that their Senator has sold them out and needs to be removed in November. Start spending some of that money they have on hand.

Something Trump does need to take into consideration. He has to let Schumer save some face on this. The rats know they lost this and need to back away without hurting their support. Plus they have to fight another day.
