The Cincinnati Zoo ran afoul of quite a few people Saturday when it picked up on a #WomensMarch2018 poster showing a picture of the zoo’s baby hippo, Fiona, with the words “Fiona Is Female.”
Ironically, the Zoo just announced a week or so ago that they want a ballot initiative to increase the sales tax. Seems like a rather poor time for them to be alienating and insulting about half of their customer base while holding their hand out for more public funding.
Well, then, make Fiona the boss of the zoo, you left-wing hypocrites!
I would have expected they’d be trounced by the transformers for imposing a gender on Fiona. Who knows how it will identify?
Zoo culture and those that work or hang around it are typically hyper-leftist and despise average Americans.

Is that the same Cincinnati Zoo that demanded the cessation of all discussion and mockery of the murder of Harambe on their patch?

A lot of the participants in the parade look like Fiona.

Eaten elephant biltong. Wasn’t half bad though it was tough. Wasn’t hippo veal though. Anyone have a BBQ big enough? Really? That’s news to me. I worked as a keeper for eight years, and my experience of the zoological community is pretty much the exact opposite. Of course, I also worked in a privately-owned and funded facility. The govt-run facilities, however, tend to be another kettle of fish entirely. The keepers are all unionized, and some places actually go so far as to hire ONLY female keepers.

Grew up in Cincy in the 50’s and 60’s and left in 80, but it certainly is NOT the great place it once was......downtown is scary at night now.
