The FEC has the authority to refer cases to DOJ for prosecution. It’s rare, but they can do it.

In Hillary’s case, the violations are so egregious, so obvious, and so offensive, I don’t see how DOJ can dodge this one.

The FEC is under pressure to act. O’Keefe and other watchdogs are leaning on them very publicly.
