I’m a government worker. I’m 30 year active duty military. Does that include me? There are a LOT of people who work for the government that are impacted by this. Be careful before you paint with your broad brush.
Tell the critters they are also non-essential and their pay will be suspended as well, and they will all belly up to the table to vote for a STCR a few minutes after getting the news.

That a DoD nurse at Walter Reed taking care of our servicemen and women or Border Patrol agent gets their paycheck?
Drop the pettiness and grow up. There are much bigger things to be concerned about (blocking amnesty, border security, the wall, ending chain migration, and full funding for our military.
