That country is split. They have the Flemish on one side and the Waloons on the other. Its so that even TV stations have Flemish sides and Waloon sides.
My best friends ancestors are from Walonia, and within that area there is 7 or 8 different dialects of the language.
Funny part is, he is married to a Flemish lady. Makes for a fine time ribbing each other. Good couple.
BTW. They say that it is a French dialect. He cant understand or speak a word of French.
Sort of like Quebec French.
