Money saved during the “shutdown” should be given to social security recipients...
When/if the shutdown comes, EVERY Federally compensated individual from the bottom up and the top down (Including every politician to insure they don’t get overlooked) should NOT receive one dime. If you want to make an impact, do it or shut the hell up.
Trump should build a task force to record, and track, government expenditures/savings (due to shutdown). Such a review could be a trigger as to how many governmental departs could (and should) be permanently eliminated.
Many of them will not even be missed by anyone but its employees, and their fat, little, pay checks.
An America bogged down with democrat pork, can’t become GREAT AGAIN.
I agree about the 60 vote thing. It is a senate rule, not a constitutional requirement. In fact, I believe it completely up ends the whole intent of what the founders envisioned for the senate and the legislative process. They did not believe in political parties.
Ummm, when I was in the military, we were paid once a month.
Wouldn’t it be something if they shut down a whole bunch of non-essential gov’t. offices & then forgot to re-open them afterwards?
That would be beyond winning.
