In addition to more than a dozen departed Republicans, something else seems to have gone missing this year from the Virginia House of Delegates: conservative bills on contentious social issues like abortion and LGBT rights.
More than 1,300 pieces of legislation have been filed in the House so far, but there are no bathroom bills, no bills to protect opposition to gay marriage and no bills to restrict access to abortion.
The filing deadline isnt until Friday, but many of the Republican lawmakers who attached their names to headline-grabbing bills in past sessions say they wont push the legislation again in the 2018 session. Several GOP legislators attributed the shift directly to the election last year, when Democrats easily kept control of the Executive Mansion and picked up an additional 15 seats in the House.

>>but there are no bathroom bills
When the Leftists pushed through unnecessary bathroom bill legislation they weren’t called bathroom bills.
They should push conservative bills wherever they can though they stand no chance of enactment in liberal VA. Keep up the quest for truth and justice!

Healthcare was the top concern of voters in exit polls.
Healthcare was the main issue in every Dem’s campaign.
The DC RINOs handed these Dem Legislators these seats by offering voters no alternative to Obamacare.
Forget other issues, it’ll be all Rs can do to hold off expanded medicaed now. And only if the DC Rs give them help.

Either fight or leave, and let someone else in there who will.
there is no chance of them passing. biding time does not mean ignoring the issues.
I hope Virginia wakes up.
Transgender training....... entering a womens bathroom looking like a man, speaks like a man, dresses like a man but can claim he is a women named tammy “today” cannot be removed from the womens room, if the women is uncomfortable she has to leave. Liberal large cities are pushing this agenda
Yep. A display of resistance, if nothing else. The bill can be resurrected if and when a Republican comes to power.
You can never, ever please them.
