Freed only a few months, Chelsea Manning has just announced that she is running as a Democrat for the U.S. Senate in Maryland, challenging the two-term incumbent Senator Ben Cardin in the party’s primary. Ben Cardin seems to be pretty well entrenched in the senate. I'll be a least a little bit surprised if this village-idiot manages to unseat him. I won't be "shocked", mind you, because such a high percentage of democrats these days are just plain stupid, but I will be somewhat surprised.

He won the Democratic Party Chair for Harris County, TX back in the late 80’s, at which point that I concluded that the Democratic Party was hopelessly reprobate. He also was in a runoff election against Ken Bentsen for a Congressional seat in Houston.
If Bradley Manning wins the Senate seat for Maryland, the Freak State, I write off Maryland even for business.
