The immigration debate is often framed strictly in terms of law enforcement or economic issues, which are of course relevant. However, the most important question in the immigration debate should be this: do not nations have the right to restrict immigration in order to preserve their national identity and character?

The culture and society of Mexico and Central America are radically different from that of the United States, so opening our borders to millions of meso-Americans will make the US more like Latin America. Is that really what we want? The effect of importing Haitians or Africans in the millions would amount to an even greater clash of cultures. The President's remarks basically amounted to saying that a thousand Norwegians would assimilate into American society more readily than a millions Haitians or Salvadorans. It's always the most obviously factual statements that give liberals (and spineless, politically correct Republicans) the worst conniption fits.

Trump is forcing a conversation that needed to take place decades ago about this whole issue.

Race ALWAYS matters to liberals.

Trump says “s***hole countries”.

Conservatives say it’s true about those countries because of corrupt governments, poor education, and low quality of life.

Liberals say those countries are “s***holes” because they are full of black and brown people.

And the media decides it’s the conservatives who are racist.

My bone with Buchanan is strictly theological. He claims to belong to a universal religion. He claims loyalty to this universal religion is supposed to trump all other loyalties whatsoever. Then he adopts this "blood is thicker than water" stuff.

If he is not a theological universalist he should stop claiming to be one. He should adopt a strictly racial religion of some kind. But to try to make of Catholicism (which at one time was dedicating to baptizing every single human being on earth) simply the utilitarian social mortar of "western civilization" is blatant nonsense.

Of course, I spent a lot of time yesterday re-reading Klassen and Oliver (yimmachu shemam vezikhram!) so I'm a little prickly right now. I found Oliver's atheism and belief in an ultimately meaningless universe a poor foundation for his racial crusade, just as I find it a poor foundation for leftist "social justice" crusades.

What is it about atheists and their need to crusade for things???

Of course race matters. The present push for open borders and mass immigration is an attempt to engineer a non-white majority, a demographic genocide. Race is what is pushing this.

After the brouhaha about Trump wanting a merit based immigration system based on an applicant’s skill set, education, earnings potential, etc. followed by his shi’thole comments, I decided to google if there is such an animal as the University of Haiti that mints newly degreed nuclear scientists we might need. The answer is yes and no. Yes, Virginia, there is actually a University of Haiti in Port au Prince (I think the school mascot may be a voodoo doll) rated 3486 academically among all the universities on the planet which I think puts it below the global pile of higher educational institutions . But unfortunately they do not offer nuclear science courses or any PHD degrees for that matter. Thus nuclear scientists are as rare as toilet seats in sh’thole countries.

We need a 20 year moratorium on all immigration. From everywhere.

Immigration into this nation must respect legitimate authority to both man and God.

When the nations were first formed by God at the Tower of Babel by the number of tongues according to the number of the sons of God (some say angels), each nation falls under the authority of an angel (principality) and is characterized by a language, land, people, and governance both via man and God.

This is easily traced through Africa, Asia, and Europe. Possibly also through N and S America prior to Columbus.

Even with colonization and the declaration of States within the continent, this is true.

The US though is a bit different than other nations today, in that we were not originally formed from the Tower of Babel by any direct lineage, although we might be described as the sons of Tarshish.

It might be argued from the Mayflower Covenant, that our covering son of God, might even be the Son of God and Son of Man.

Whomever the watching son of God who covers the US might be, any legitimate immigrant should not only approach the US via the legitimate laws of man, but also in proper respect for the authority God has placed over our nation.
