The word is very common in Latin American Spanish. It’s obscene and literally means c*nt, but it is used the way “f**k” is used by people from Long Island. That is, it becomes pretty mild, pretty routine and pretty meaningless.
But it can be intensified by usage, and in this case it would be something like the weird expression, “For f**ks sake”

Texas ranch-the norteno dialect is spoken on both sides of the border there-and that word would get your mouth washed with soap at our house-and your ass kicked if you used it to refer to a female you didn’t like. The slang word for pussy is milder-pano***, and there are others depending on where you live and what dialect of Spanish you were taught as a 2nd language-and we’d be clueless in Spain...

Dicky Durbin is the only person claiming to have heard “s-hole.” President Trump and others present deny it. So now we are at a point where all people have to do is CLAIM he said something, and it gets hung around his neck like an albatross.
I’ve been thinking about this whole thing, and am coming to the conclusion that Durbin’s plan was this: Claim Trump said something inflammatory that could be construed as “racist” right during a DACA discussion, hoping to use this as a crowbar to force the President’s hand to approve DACA in order to “prove” he isn’t racist. Just a theory.
