The only thing I saw was the final play....and that was while I was flipping channels.

Death of a thousand cuts:

Free agency.
Too many penalties.
Too many rules.
Too many commercials.
Too many replays.
Too many head injuries.
Taking to long to resolve replays/challenges.
Market saturation.
Too much emphasis on passing game.
Shortage of quarterback talent.
Decline in announcer talent.
Lower level of play due to ignoring football fundamentals.
Player protests.
Too much ugly showboating/taunting, poor player behavior in general.

Haven’t watched a game since October but did watch the highlight reel of the Vikings game.

It wasn’t that great. The college ball games have been excellent this past season.

The catch was spectacular but the arrogant ego dog-and-pony show in the end zone ruined it, IMO.

I haven’t watched one second all season, didn’t watch the SB and won’t again this year

I record probably 99% of my content, and the FF on the remote earns its keep. FF thru commercials and even the 30 second advance let’s me watch a college game from end of play to snap for most plays. A full game gets viewed in under two hours easily, and a crap game gets FF thru, sometimes over in a couple of minutes.

I do similar for network TV. Screw their bottom line as much as I can and save my valuable time. Even my favorite Jeopardy! isn’t immune

As a former follower of the nfl, I couldn’t even tell you who’s in the playoffs this year.

I know part of the excuse will be that the Jacksonville Jaguars are not a well.known team, so nobody wanted to watch their playoff games.

Of course that has no bearing on ratings for the other games.

IMO replay is destroying ALL sports.

Hockey and college basketball now are encountering more and more delays as officials go over to an iPad and run the play back and forth....back and forth....back and forth....

The other night there was a seven minute delay in an NHL hockey game. A sport that prides itself on nonstop action.

The most important thing is to get the call right? NO IT’S NOT! The most important thing is to maintain the flow of the game. Officials were getting calls wrong for decades, and sports were GREAT! The blown calls even out over time.

It’s so refreshing to tune to ESPN Classic and find an old game on there where there are NO delays to review officials’ calls.

I stand corrected. Tomlin is a despicable POS.

Meanwhile, the Georgia-Alabama national championship game drew half the house holds in Atlanta estimated at 2 million viewers and nearly 60% in Birmingham. It drew high numbers around the country as well. Compare that to the Falcons who drew less than a million even in Atlanta and you see where our loyalty is these days and mine plans to stay there.

I think it’s a combination of boycotts, and less popular teams playing this year.

Hey, it’s not any problem as far as I can tell.

The dopes chose to give that idiot Roger Goodell a $200 Million contract extension, let them reap the rewards.

“The Bengals (the team I used to follow) made it real easy to swear off the NFL for the next two years by bringing back the biggest boob in football, next to Goodell, Marvin Lewis”

Sorry, I have to correct you on that one. The Clowns managed to one up you by bringing back 1-31 Hue Jackson. Jimmy the crook Haslam is doing all he can to be sure people in Cleveland swear off the NFL.

Go Buckeyes.

I only saw the Minnesota Miracle on account of this YouTube clip.

Thank you YouTube. You saved me several hours of my Sunday afternoon. You always saved me from watching whoever of those players decided to kneel during our national anthem.

I'm quite sure that the New England Patriots will cruise to their 8th or 9th Super Bowl (who's counting?) so I'll be looking forward to the YouTube recap of that.

Since Caldwell got fired by Detroit, that’s why Lewis and Jackson are still coaches, and you know the reason why.

I cant wait for the super bowl. how many here plan on watching anything other then the super bowl. the numbers from this event will be the one that breaks the back of the league management and have the owners realize that this problem is not just going away if they try and just wait it out
