Northern Michigan is a slew of small towns, and real estate here is very inexpensive. The cost of living is awesome. Eggs are 50 cents and sometimes less. This is an agricultural area and you can go to a local family farm, fill a medium sized bag with a huge variety of peppers and pay 3 dollars. Food is awesomely low cost and fresh. I get wonderful bags of feta cheese for a dollar.

Did you know that every McDonalds east of the Mississippi serves eggs from Michigan? Every Lays potato chip began here as well. We grow food and it grows madly. Then people give it away all over the place.
