FreeRepublic is really conflicted on Rand Paul.
Paul is one of Trump’s real supporters in Congress, never slurs or backbites Trump, like many RINOs do. But Paul will speak clearly when a policy does not meet his own limited-government/conservative/libertarian standards.
This upsets some people, and I find a lot of hate for Rand Paul in these pages.
IMHO, he’s one of the few principled, small-government, freedom politicians in existence.
I agree.
We currently have just 5 Senators who side with the citizens and the rule of law.
Paul, Grassley, Cotton, Perdue and Cruz.
The rest side with the illegal aliens and their employers.
Runt Paul has all the same baggage any Libertarian does. He and his dad thought a nuclear Iran was not a problem and neither was pot.
