The chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus and the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee said today that they plan on introducing a censure resolution against President Trump for his reported comments about immigrants from certain countries.
The Washington Post reported that Trump made the comment during a Thursday Oval Office meeting with immigration negotiators. “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said, suggesting that more immigrants be brought into the country from places like Norway or Asia.
“Why do we need more Haitians?” Trump reportedly said. “Take them out.”
Trump tweeted this morning, "The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made - a big setback for DACA!"
"Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country. Never said 'take them out.' Made up by Dems. I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians. Probably should record future meetings - unfortunately, no trust!" the president added.
Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) recounted to reporters what he heard: "He said, 'Haitians? Do we need more Haitians?' And then he went on when we started to describe the immigration from Africa that was being protected in this bipartisan measure. That's when he used these vile and vulgar comments, calling the nations they come from 'shitholes.' The exact word used by the president, not just once, but repeatedly."
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) acknowledged that "following comments by the president, I said my piece directly to him yesterday."
"The president and all those attending the meeting know what I said and how I feel," he said.
CBC Chairman Cedric Richmond (D-La.) and House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said they will "be asking Republican leadership to bring our resolution of censure — which we plan to release next week, after the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday — up for swift consideration and approval."
The two said they were "deeply disturbed and offended" by Trump’s reported remarks. "The countries he called ‘shitholes’ produce immigrants that are remarkable and make significant contributions to our country. A high percentage of those immigrants have college degrees and when they get here they create businesses and jobs," Richmond and Nadler said in a statement.
The Senate censured President Andrew Jackson in 1834, while the House censured President James Polk in 1848. Nadler was among the lawmakers who introduced a censure resolution against Trump in August after the president said both sides were to blame for the violence at the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va.
The newest censure resolution would "condemn President Trump for his racist statements."
"This censure resolution is important because America is a beacon of hope. We have to show the world that this president does not represent the real feelings of most of the American people which is part of the reason why he lost the popular vote," Nadler and Richmond said. “The president’s bigoted fearmongering is not acceptable and his remarks completely warrant total condemnation and censure from Congress. American immigration policy cannot and should not be guided in any way, shape or form by racism."
The lawmakers added that "Congress must speak with one voice in condemning these offensive and anti-American remarks -- there is no excuse for it.”
American immigration is guided by racism. These traitors seek to break the law and legalize invaders if they are black or brown. If they were white they couldn’t move fast enough to get them out. Ellis Island inspired the Lazarus poem and there were requirements to be accepted.

This is just more obvious “resistance” from the Worst Losers On The Planet.
They could amend the resolution to include all the offensive crap said by Leftists.
Secondly, the statements by Trump were not recorded, and little dick turban would at least need to sign an affidavit or some sworn statement attesting to the exact statements.
Republicans should be everywhere stating Obama’s comment.
Are they going to censure Lindsey Graham too for calling them “hellholes”?
If only Trump would say “Why do we need more Congressional Black Caucusians?”
Then they’d really have their panties in a twist and I would be absolutely overjoyed.

Is it not fascinating to watch the same media myrmidons who not only went into the tank for Hillary Clinton but who nearly DROWNED there now going totally insane over Donald Trump's PRIVATE remark “Why are all these people from shithole countries coming here?”
For those with short memories – and any leftist/statist types fortunate enough to have a friend who might be able to read this rant to them – this is the same Hillary who, in her more private moments and when not setting her home ablaze to destroy evidence, uses language more at home in a Marine barracks. And, lest we forget, this is a woman who was an associate or acquaintance of a STATISTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE 100 fellow humans who died in suspicious or violent circumstances! (How many of the folks YOU'VE known perished in similar fashion?)
As to Mr. Trump's comment, he merely stated what most of us proles out here in flyover country already know.
As I swiftly channel surf through their frequencies searching for that missed episode of Hollywood Celebrity Sex Orgy, I often catch a brief shot of these bubble dwelling MORONS at CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC losing their minds over his remark. And I wonder if they risk losing their 6 and 7 figure gigs for going off message on the Russia thing, but – like them – that's off topic.
In case you are unaware of HOW these electronic media coastal elites live, they DO NOT generally take the subway or bus to and from work. They are generally driven from and to their expensive gated & walled or 24 hour security guarded high-rise tower each day by employer furnished limousine. Much of the shopping for the things of life is often done by hired help or phone order. And when they DO venture forth, the less courageous of them either carry their own firearm (special permits for which are easily obtained from their political elite brethren in places like NYC, LA and Chicago) or they're accompanied by armed security. Good luck getting YOUR permit!
I'm a Vietnam era vet and have spent most of my adult life attempting to defeat folks who really should be living somewhere else so they might develop a sense of what it would be like if obozo had succeeded in packing this place with folks from some of those "shitholes”. If he HAD succeeded, America -- the UNIQUE IDEA -- would vanish from the earth. Once folks having NO concept of that "IDEA" were the majority, what would be the point in saving some place on the globe called America?? As the teleprompter reading talking heads spin further out of view of normal folks, I suspect the quote "Those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it" doesn't ring any bells with them.
And neither does MLK, Jr's comment concerning the content of one's character being far more important than the color of one's skin.
Dr. King was a fellow REPUBLICAN. Why? Because he understood what I just wrote!!
PS: Oh yes. The reason THIS place has not yet become just another shithole is because a ragtag band of farmers and just plain folks faced down THEIR tyrant in places like Boston Harbor, Lexington Green, Concord Bridge, Yorktown and elsewhere and many of us remember that history. If the denizens of those shitholes understood that, they could lift the land of their birth out of the shit – and remain home.

How about revoking any and all security clearance for Durbin?
There is mounting evidence Dick Durbin is anti-American. Anyone remember his speech on the senate floor disparaging the US military?
Auction it off (through Rush’s show?) and give all of it for Haitian relief.
And impeach him on zero grounds.
