Yes, I agree but then blame it on the Byrd rule, not the corporate tax rate cuts.

I blame the Republicans for giving away the store to the corporations, and sending the bill to the taxpayers. They raised taxes on millions of families in the process. You cannot deny this or make it go away. It is what it is.

Not only did the corporations get a massive tax break (from 35% to 21%), they and they alone get to continue to claim their full state, local, and property tax deductions.

The entire premise of the tax bill was to take care of the donors, and transfer the pain to individuals.

My husband is a tech genius, a self taught C programmer. In 1987 the year our last child was born, he learned about natural language software. We supplied computers, that was our business at the time, to a firm that was working on a "search engine". At the time there was no internet for public use, we wanted to put a search engine to text's, the Bible being the first one.

My husband began leaning C programming and writing a search engine in 1987, in 6 months IQ Text was born, our first project being the Bible, we called it Ask God and got lots of sales and offers of investment.

I know you may not believe this story, but in 1988 we had a search engine that we took to Microsoft to demonstrate it querying the Bible text. It was fast, by the time the demonstration was over we had 6 department heads in the little room, jumping up and down exclaiming, "this is the future of computing!" As Microsoft is want to do, they never got back to us, but we do have inside information they tried reverse engineering our code, invested in a natural language startup in Silicon valley and we never got an infusion of cash enough to go big time.

Now we think, maybe it was God protecting us from the power and money this kind of program would have wrought on our lives and family, which may have tripped us up on our main goal in life, serving Him.

I tried this myself. I copied and pasted the first sentence of post 26 into google and it didn’t show up, on the first page of results at least. But when I put quotes around the sentence it did show up as as the one and only result.

How about setting up continuous video surveillance across the street from polling locations which report suspiciously high turnout. Record everybody who enters and leaves. Count the total and compare it to the total votes cast. Then challenge if a large disparity.

It was when O’Sullivan was replaced by Lowry that NR became totally worthless. Around 20 years ago IIRC. Buckley was under pressure from the neocons to stop publishing articles critical of immigration. Sadly, Buckley sold out in the end. When WFB wrote and editorial opposing the Iraq War, NR wouldn’t publish it! A fitting humiliation to Buckley after his cowardly kowtowing to neocons.
