Using the method described by Friedrich Huebler on his blog, and using estimates of the WHO / UNICEF Joint Monitoring Programme on Water Supply and Sanitation, and with advice from my friend Srini, I created an open defecation map of the world.

Afghanistan should be dark red also. The medical troops told me that the airborne dirt alone has a high content of fecal matter in it. And I have seen numerous public defecation’s.

An Indian friend of mine married a girl from India a couple months ago. She had never been to the US before. He English is stellar, she’s educated and in two months seems to have begun the acclimation process well. She’s also legal and just the sort we want here.

I fully expected India to “win”. I was talking once to a gentleman who had journeyed to India to talk to someone there about sourcing some products. He said the taxi took him to his destination, and as he opened the door, he was about to step into a pile of human excrement. He pulled his foot back in and closed the door and told the driver to take him back to the airport. He decided he did not want to do business in such a sh*thole country.
