I thought ending chain migration was a non-negotiable.

Trump hasn’t agreed to anything.

They are not only NOT ending chain migration, they are still considering allowing the Dreamers to bring in THEIR families, the ones that broke the law in the first place to bring them here.

This is one of the biggest screw jobs of Conservatives in history.

Pray that the House nixes it.

“This is DJT’s moment of truth.”

It is, indeed.

So Daily Beast heard from Dims and RINOs and are presenting their opinions as if it were a 100% deal.

HA!

Ok. Let's deal in honesty.

Democrats represent immigrants only because they can increase their voter base exponentially. This means democrats made a strategic decision to stop representing the American citizen because they want less government, less spending, and more liberty. Of those wishes, democrats want none of that.

The question is not about DACA. It’s about getting something in exchange.

The question most certainly IS about DACA. It's also about the Wall, ending chain migration, the visa lottery program and more.

Those of us who voted for PDJT voted for a Wall. A big, beautiful, physical Wall. We also voted to end chain migration, the visa lottery program and a whole lot more.

To voters such as myself, these are three of the things that are NON-NEGOTIABLE in any "Immigration Reform" bill and quite frankly, I'm sick and tired of "Reform" always meaning giving the Democrats everything they ask for and more and people such as myself taking it in the shorts again.

All of these items would not be enforced, certainly not once the Democrats regained power, and the “some sort of structure on the border” wound be reduced to a few miles of fence at best and perhaps a mile or two of wall, but that would be all, assuming any of that ever gets funded - and even if funded, never spent.

And this the Democrats could be assumed of an unending supply of Democrat voters and the rest of us a unending supply of jihadis as well as the yearly $84 billion of our money to keep the Democrats in voters and ever tightening security measures to control us.

Completely open borders would only be a line or two in some bill at a later date.

DJT will have no choice (without a 60 vote margin in the Senate) to either take the deal and piss off his base, or veto it and loose his base.

Call President Trump: Comments: 202-456-1111 Switchboard: 202-456-1414

CONTACT CONGRESS: Capitol Switchboard 1-866-220-0044

(HAT TIP GUNSEQUALFREEDOM)

The question is not about DACA. It’s about getting something in exchange.

If, in exchange, we get

<><>(A) a wall,

<><>(B) end to visa lottery,

<><>(C) end to H1B taking existing American Jobs,

<><>(D) implementation of E-Verify,

<><>(E) plus DACA,

.......then we are on the right track.

If there’s nothing of significance in the exchange, there is room for complaint.

Actually, making the call is on my “To Do List” for today.

I agree with your list. My tone will be much stronger though. I just wonder if we should not be saying: How about we get the wall FIRST!! What happened to the “big beautiful wall?” The the 40’ high wall??

Our President did not run on DACA, he ran on building the wall. Dems just want the votes—article in Hill had emails confirming what we all have known...There are going to be real problems going forward if he does not get the wall— problems for the country and for him politically.

Did not hear much about the wall or any of your other points at the frequently touted televised meeting except for DACA and they will figure it out and he will sign what they send him...

The televised meeting is great politics, but this is a lot bigger than politics—it is future of our country. If they screw this up, we will never fix this...The fact that Schumer, Graham, et. al are so happy is not a good sign IMHO.

Please be sure to contact the White House and share your thoughts on this.

I have wrote to President 10 times on opioids. You can buy them on internet with no prescription delivered to your house.
No respond back

What is truly amazing about all this is the concept of immigration as a vitally necessary component of American life.

The concept of an overwhelming, nation changing, torrent of immigration is never questioned, it is sacrosanct. It is the default position that cannot be changed. It is THE tenant of American life. It is what the United States was formed for, to be the dumping ground for the world.

In a few years, the nation as we know it will disappear forever. Reagan’s worry about a thousand years of darkness will descend.

We’ll see - I’m sure that Trump, his people, and the Republicans in Congress understand that their VERY SURVIVAL as a political force depends on getting this right - it doesn’t have to be perfect, but it has to be considered at least decent by Trump’s base - OTHERWISE WE WALK.

...on second thought, maybe they don’t understand it.

What Trump needs to do is hold a rally somewhere - and then talk this ‘deal’ - he’ll get an earful if it’s anywhere close to what’s being talked now.

“As is always the case in such high-stakes negotiations, the possibility of talks ultimately ending unsuccessfully remains real.”

This is looking more and more to be the likely scenario.
