In the 2004 election, some of us tried to get into the VA Retirement Home in Napa to register voters and help get Veterans to vote absentee. We were denied access because they said the “nurses” helped the Veterans vote. Uh Huh.

On another note, although I completely believe the Pew Center, I was wondering how they got their information, when President Trumps Voter Fraud Committee was unable to get any voter info from several states.

To clarify - all of my mother’s mail comes to me, NOT to the nursing home so there is no chance for anyone else to fill out and submit her ballot.

And, I verify with the county after every election that she has NOT voted because I am well aware that somehow a whole bunch of provisional ballots often “show up” at the last minute in close elections!

I am temporarily in the San Diego area. The local sports radio station is the “Mighty 1090” which broadcasts from Mexico. Every 15 minutes or so, they’ll have political ads, in English. One of them urges people to register for this year’s presidential election. There is a deadline and to vote in Mexico you have to register first, and of course be a Mexican citizen—none of this same-day registration or provisional ballots. Somehow it’s not racist or voter suppression when Mexico does it.

A fwew years back, a local union Dem buttboy here was bragging in the pub about how he was a volunteer who went to the nursing home and “helped” people vote.

I know his neighbor well. Told me the guy has gone completely insane since Trump was elected.

usually there is a registrar for each party...the coroner can issue a copy of the death cert to the registrar of voters in the address of the deceased. won’t end everything, but would certainly help.

“Anyone registered in more than one state and voting in more than one state probably committed voting fraud.”

It's not probably it's “they did!” But the issue of being registered at more that one precinct ( or state ) is likely this nonsense that you “stay registered” even if you don't vote. Our daughter and her husband lived with us for a short period of time when they returned from Japan where they had expat jobs. It took FIFTEEN years to get our county to remove them from the rolls here, and the have lived in another county here in the SF Bay Area since they moved from our home. It's like the woman in the earlier post with a demented mom, you have to remove yourself from the rolls, otherwise you stay on forever. This is really just another one of the illegal artifices that the RAT Party has used in it's quest for one-party rule in America, because there do not appear to be any safeguards to someone else “voting” these registrations surreptitiously.

Yes, the Voting Rights Act, plus various subsequent scotus decisions.

Scotus created a new category of rights called fundamental rights. Among them are abortion, homo-marriage, and voting. For comparison, the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are not fundamental. They are mere liberty interests.

It means the burden of proof is on the state or solicitor general to prove a law or regulation doesn’t burden a fundamental right. When presented to a panel of social justice warrior judges, ANY law or regulation that touches voting rights is assumed unconstitutional.

Interesting that voter registration upkeep is such a poorly maintained area nationwide, no? That something so primary, so vital to honest representation is allowed to languish. Almost as if by design...

Send out a new voting registration card every two year cycle.
Make it return to sender if the address is no longer valid.
Once returned the local registrar of voters is to removed it.

Simple solution that can be enacted tomorrow: Only military can vote by absentee ballot. All others vote on Voting Day and receive a mark on the back of their wrist that will take a day or two to melt away. Each ballot clearly states that only citizens may vote under penalty of immediate arrest and deportation with an ICE agent posted at every polling station.

Bingo HLM...

That is why "The Boss" has given it to DHS as the States are balking at the commission he formed. Hook or by crook, PDJT finds a way to get it done. Example, I did not know the effort he volunteered for to finish the ice skating rink in Central Park, were everyone failed required new thinking. What was it? A continuous concrete poor so it wouldn't crack.

May this DHS effort be as stable as that base for the rink :-).....
