'I regret that my delay in responding to the inaccurate reporting regarding Don Jr has diverted attention from the president's historical accomplishments'
He explained that when he labeled the Trump Tower meeting with Russians 'treasonous' he was criticizing Paul Manafort, who should have known better
Donald Trump Jr, Bannon said, 'is both a patriot and a good man,' as he complimented the president for his political savvy
Bannon also played up his longtime loyalty, claiming, 'I am the only person to date to conduct a global effort to preach the message of Trump and Trumpism'

The White House rejected an apology from Steve Bannon, the president's former chief strategist, on Monday, saying there's not any conceivable 'way back' into Donald Trump's good graces for him.
Bannon apologized to President Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr, on Sunday, for slamming a June 2016 Trump Tower meeting that's come under scrutiny from the feds as 'treasonous.' Raj Shah, the top deputy White House press secretary, said on Monday, though, that on Fox News that President Trump's opinion 'hasn't changed' since Bannon's statement.
'Frankly, look, the president said it, the man has lost his mind, and good riddance,' Shah proclaimed.

Yeah, I guess that's got to be it. If you find that it is inappropriate for Bannon to be constantly calling leftists up and leaking information to damage the President and create media firestorms, bringing them in to write tell all books to damage the President, calling the President's son a traitor, etc. it has to be because you are a "GOPe groupie and McTurtle sends chills up your leg."
Is this really the best you've got to defend Bannon? There is no valid reason to defend this guy - and if you actually support the causes you claim to, then you wouldn't.

Are you seriously comparing giving an interview vs. someone frequently betraying you behind your back leaking internal information to damage you and throw your administration into chaos, calling your son a traitor, contributing to tell all books, etc.? You find those things to actually be equivalent?

hasn’t Trump made some poor choices as well: sessions and mueller? everyone makes mistakes at some point in time, and for most,there is no going back, and one has to live/deal with the consequences.
I am not defending Bannon I am just suspect of the ones who are trashing him day and night. It’s the economic agenda they are afraid of, not the man.

It’s even worse than you describe. After Pres. Trump humiliated himself at camp David and threw in with the swampers he got nothing in return. Even today I heard Sen. Linda Graham saying there is no reason to stop the Russia investigation Wow. It is really f’ed up out there. These Republicans are unreal assholes.
Donald Trump can be forgiving as we have seen with one of his former rivals that had labeled him “a con man.”
But what Steve Bannon did to Trump and his family, goes beyond a presidential campaign.
He, while employed at the White House by the President himself, told a liberal attack that Trump was a liar and that his son, Don Jr. was treasonous.
Why do I believe the liberal hack in this case? Because he had the statements in quotes and because Bannon was slow to address them and is now apologizing.
Bannon was also constantly blabbing to the media things that he should have kept his mouth shut about.
If I were the President, I will consider Steve Bannon an enemy, and I believe he does.

You all got it wrong. It was the Left’s plan to take down Bannon in order to undercut Trump’s America First Economic Nationalism which Bannon authored and has championed for years. Without Bannon Trump would have gotten off message and H> would have won.
The Swamp, Leftists and Globalists scored a major coupe getting Bannon out of the White House and now repudiated. Without him it will be hard for Trump to stay the course which won in 2016 causing loss of support for Trump. That’s their plan.
Trump has turned the Senators and Reps he has into Trump loyalists. They’re on the Trump Train now and Bannon is done.
There are a slew of MAGA candidates running in '18. Trump didn't cave; he merely said he's going to endorse incumbents or those who win the primaries.
BTW I listen to Breitbart News Daily every morning on my commute to work. Even the callers were ripping on Bannon. That's how bad he F up.
