But you see, since Obamacare, the government has a right to tell you that you cannot have these things because it is too costly and they might deny you healthcare.

Just disgusting. I would hope the people could see what crooks the left is. I am not hopeful that they will.

“No where in the Constitution is any right to consume what you wish as a personal choice. “

Listen numbnuts: the Constitution doesn’t grant you ANY RIGHTS WHATSOEVER. The Constitution is a limitation on GOVERNMENT’S rights.

I’m not sure you belong here. But it’s not my call so just keep on making a fool of yourself.

Thank you. Although your simple explanation may be a bit difficult for Badboo, the constitutional ‘scholar’, to comprehend.

If they tax sugar drinks they should be taxing beer. It is just as bad carb wise.

Hmmm, looking around, a 12oz Coke and a typical 12oz beer appear to have around the same calories. Excellent point.

Ummm, because it is a poison.

This is stupid. And I am a low carber, so I have no love lost for sugar, but this is idiocy.

I’m sure they’re required to collect the tax.

Yet soda can still be purchased with food stamps?

But the tax will hurt the poor because they won’t be able to afford those sugary soda’s. /sarc

Good. Eat it, Seattle. Eat every last bite of it. It’s always wonderful when an incredibly liberal area gets punched right in its own smug face.

"The tax hais many people opting for the diet soda."

Yikes! The aspartame artificial sweetener is a proven neurotoxin, even causing dementia and seizures in susceptible people. Best solution would be to switch to natural stevia or water, but that's too simple...

“I don’t think anyone has anyone else’s good in mind. It’s just a money grab”

And liberals get off on the power...the ability to lord it over everyone else.

Diet Coke is not healthy. One glass will give me a bladder infection. Then 10 days of antibiotics. My urologist told me to drop all diet drinks/food and cranberry juice.
