This book is a perfect example of that.
The author admits that unidentified parts are untrue, however, it's not what he wrote in the book -- it's how people are reacting to it that is the desired effect.
We've already seen a 180 degree turn against Steve Bannon because of this book, and there are rumors of him being ousted from Breitbart. If that's the only instigated chaos from this book, it's a win.
As more reporting on the book occurs, more Republicans will be drawn into commenting on it. It's those upcoming comments that are the trap for the Republicans. They will be tricked into responding to untrue scenes from the book, and they will make statements that they will later regret.
It's SOP for the Left.

....” it’s not what he wrote in the book — it’s how people are reacting to it that is the desired effect”.....
Of course...and all these people laugh all the way to the bank afterward....from the authors to the media pundits and the talk shows. Until the next round of junk spewed out there.
