President Donald Trump’s growing feud with Steve Bannon is threatening the former White House strategist’s leadership of the conservative Breitbart News website and upending Mr. Bannon’s plans to wage “war” on party incumbents he deemed insufficiently loyal to the White House agenda.
Mr. Trump said Mr. Bannon has “lost his mind” and that he has “nothing to do with me or my presidency,” a response to Mr. Bannon’s numerous incendiary comments—including insults about the president’s family—in a new book about the first year of the Trump administration.
Mr. Bannon’s longtime benefactors, billionaires Robert Mercer and his daughter Rebekah Mercer, are actively distancing from him even before the expected release of Michael Wolff’s book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” according to two people close to the Mercers.
They and other Breitbart News Network LLC board members on Thursday were debating whether to oust Mr. Bannon as chairman, with many supportive of the move, according to a person familiar with the exchanges. Among the considerations are Breitbart’s contractual relationships with other entities, including Sirius XM radio, that involve Mr. Bannon.
Staffers at Breitbart, which Mr. Bannon has called his “killing machine,” described a “chaotic” day at the company, with writers—many personally recruited by Mr. Bannon—wondering whether he would last the day.
Asked Thursday whether Breitbart should oust Mr. Bannon, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said: “I certainly think that it’s something they should look at and consider.”
Mr. Bannon and his representatives didn’t respond to requests for comment. On two recent radio shows, Mr. Bannon expressed support for Mr. Trump. He said Thursday morning, “nothing will ever come between us and President Trump and his agenda.”

From what I’ve heard and read, Bannon almost destroyed Breitbart when he became involved.
Was listening to Dana (something or another) yesterday, and she stated that she was working there for a long time.. then some no-name named Bannon came in acting like he was somebody.. but no one knew who he was. She more or less described him as someone that was looking to make a name for himself by riding the coattails of others. She said No one on the staff at Breitbart liked him at all.
How dare you post some Shapiro nonsense .. Shapiro and Levin were two of the biggest globalist free-trade , open -borders, pro-interventionist , anti-Trumpers and now they are all of a sudden his biggest champions ...
they have vehemently opposed the Nationalist agenda and it looks like they will get their way when Bannon is ousted from Breitbart ... once that happens , look for Breitbart to join the mainstream Republicuck free-trading open-borders cabal ... it’s becoming clear what is going on here now ... Drudge , Shapiro ,Kushner , Levin ...I see a pattern here ...
Bannon and his team/staff really ruined that site and turned it into something that Breitbart was against.
The Daily mail has a bunch of article about the book and Bannon, which the lefties are eating up. How much of it is true, I don't know, but it's really rife with either howlers, or if true, makes Bannon look even more horrid than we suspect he is.
Breitbart would be SAVED, if Bannon gets tossed; though at this point, that site is hardly worth saving. It certainly isn't what Andrew made it and wanted it to be!
Breitbart’s number one issue has been illegal immigration, even while Bannon was away working for Trump. All of the radio hosts have been strong against illegal immigration and I don’t see them doing a 180 just because Bannon is not there.
I’m not so much defending Bannon , but i’m defending his message ... when they toss Bannon out and ditch Bannon’s message , watch for the Breibart ratings to tank ...
Populist Nationalism was a winning message that won Trump the election , but if Trump abandons that , and does decide to run again , he will lose ... the Blue wall that Trump broke through is very fragile and hinges upon Trade and Immigration ... those Rust-belt union Dims won’t vote for a main stream Repub agenda or anyone they put up for that matter , unless they run on the right message that won Trump the election ... looks at the snakes that hated Trump that now all of a sudden love him and be very wary of that
I think there will be an exodus when Bannon is ousted.. there are very powerful globalist forces aligned, not just against Bannon, but mainly his message ... you’ll soon see what i’m talking about ... I hope i’m wrong though
Breitbart isn't what it once was, nor what Andrew wanted it to be, and It's Bannon who ruined that site, as well as Andrew's message!
Bannon had less than NOTHING whatsoever to do with Trujmp's message, nor his winning!
You don't actually know what you're talking about and your assumptions/surmises re Trump, his supporters, and everything else are naive, sheer conjecture based on nothing, and some off the wall.

Is trump going to have to work with those in Congress that we can't stand and with whom we don't agree? YES!
Will the once Dem voters desert him, when he runs in 2020, against the female Obama...Kamala, "Uncle" Joe, dimbulb Gov. "Moonbeam", or some such? That depends upon what transpires between now and then, but frankly, it's doubtful in the extreme.
I bet that you don't even know about the poster PURGE, that got rid of the best and brightest posters there, when Bannon got a full wind beneath his sails at Breitbart and the exodus of many other such CONSERVATIVE posters who weren't banned.

As far a Breitbart, they have had their highest ratings with Bannon at the helm ... when he goes, the ratingS will fall ... again, i’m not defending Bannon if he leaked and backstabbed , but i’m defending his message ...day in and day out, he has been pro-MAGA
I hope this is some elaborate plan between Trump and Bannon even though that seems doubtful. Bannon should be more in control of what he says, but he’s right on a lot of things and I think a lot of his animosity has to do with his dislike of Ivanka and Jared Kushner. I think he see’s them as an obstacle to part of the MAGA agenda. I don’t know how much influence they actually have, but they bring nothing to the table and shouldn’t be involved in the administration in my opinion. If Ivanka thought she could become the first female president some day she’s living in another world. The left will never accept her because she’s a Trump, and the right will never accept her because she’s a liberal.
Yes, they have a huge group over there now, because of the massive expansion of the site, which made it a global one. What it lost was Andrew's vision and direction, the way it was run ( far better than the mess it is now! ), and should it go lefty, they'll just add more damned lefty and Globalist posters, which there are far too damned many of, there, now.

If a guy is selling his car and has some back story to explain why he’s forced to sell quickly, why he is selling at such a ridiculously low price, why this is the deal of a lifetime..... Does that take a genius who wrote the Art Of The Deal playing 4D chess?
Nope, just the same common sense street smart con-artist stuff that’s been around since the beginning of time.
So when I see all this drama and name calling and conflicting stories, and l two sides of a story so opposite that you know at least one version has to be a con, I don’t think 4D chess, I just think - finally we have a president with common street smarts that knows how to win.
Usually, a couple days later it turns out something important got snuck in under the radar - like opening up off shore drilling - while everyone was talking about what a rat Bannon is.

Looks like Bannon’s alcoholism has finally caught up with him, and he’s in full self destruct mode. Even Breitbart will be forced to drop him now.
