EXCLUSIVE: Congressional investigators tell Fox News that Tuesdays seven-hour interrogation of Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe contained numerous conflicts with the testimony of previous witnesses, prompting the Republican majority staff of the House Intelligence Committee to decide to issue fresh subpoenas next week on Justice Department and FBI personnel.
While HPSCI staff would not confirm who will be summoned for testimony, all indications point to demoted DOJ official Bruce G. Ohr and FBI General Counsel James A. Baker, who accompanied McCabe, along with other lawyers, to Tuesdays HPSCI session.
The issuance of a subpoena against the Justice Departments top lawyer could provoke a new constitutional clash between the two branches, even worse than the months-long tug of war over documents and witnesses that has already led House Speaker Paul Ryan to accuse DOJ and FBI of stonewalling and HPSCI Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., to threaten contempt-of-Congress citations against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray.
Its hard to know whos telling us the truth, said one House investigator after McCabes questioning.
Fox News is told that several lawmakers participated in the questioning of McCabe, led chiefly by Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.
Sources close to the investigation say that McCabe was a friendly witness to the Democrats in the room, who are said to have pressed the deputy director, without success, to help them build a case against President Trump for obstruction of justice in the Russia-collusion probe. If he could have, he would have, said one participant in the questioning.

But...it might have been an action run by McCabe and Comey could create reasonable doubt.
“He went on to trash them specifically for not sending out daily memos so they could coordinate their attacks, strategies.”
Dems have to do this because they’re idiots and can’t think for themselves. They need to have their Yoda tell them what to say, and how to say it.
I think it’s great that the Dems do this. How else would Rush come up with his montages of the parrots all spewing the exact same words and phrases?
They should be indicted.
“Contempt Citations. Use them.”
Does a Contemp Citation result in the offender actually suffering strong consequences? Or is it just words and a slap on the wrist? If the latter, it isn’t even close to fair punishment.
This is some of the worst treason in our history. Stick ‘em all on a garbage skow to sail the seas until they die of natural causes. Like the man in “The Man Withouit A Country”. Never let them know a thing about what’s going on with their families or America.
Sessions has now made it clear he is a bad person and has no honor or decency. Boo Jeff Sessions
I’m with Stealth Jeff on this in wondering if Mueller put known bad actors in this group for the invariable back-stab coming..
Having said that it’s sure hard to find Strzok on the internet. Dude is seriously stealthy. Given he’s not being asked to testify is that the house saying we know that it’s a fake name?
Why does anyone expect the truth from any of them? Killary has proven they can get away with anything for at least the last 25 years.
Kabuki....congress really knows the truth. How much money have they made from this treason? U1? Awan IT? Hezbola deal? Just to name a few.

Congress has the power to jail those in Contempt. No input from the DOJ is needed. The Committee Chair can order the Sgt. At Arms to physically transport the subject from the floor in Congress to the DC jail.
Not many folks know that, but it is true nonetheless.
L
Deputy Director McCabe, you are fired.
Exactly.
Yes, how else...
It’s really uncanny when you hear those montages. It’s Orwellian or some such...
It’s rather freaky.
There is a federal law that prescribes a maximum 12-month sentence and $1000 fine for contempt of Congress, which is a misdemeanor.
Of course, there can be lots of other consequences for government employees or for those involved in felonies under investigation.
Jail! That’s good news. Thanks for the info.
Exactly. McCabe has no choice but to say it is credible. It is the only way to defend its use to justify a FISA warrant.

So then a FISA warrant is worthless.
Need to go through it line-by-line and force him to defend it. Under oath.
And then proof will come out that they knew it wasn’t credible and was indeed fabricated. He’s now stuck with the statement and may have actually created the basis for a “conspiracy” against a duly elected POTUS.
Of course they “stand by the dossier’s credibility” or else the FISA warrants
were obtained with knowledge of false pretenses.

Yes. I was hardly shocked.
It is such fun watching the Dem House of Cards crumble. And that includes the huge number of policy reversals put in place by Trump. Lowering taxes instead of raising them for example.
Sometimes the engine jumps out of the car when it hits a tree and burns to a crisp.
Progress ! These rats are now fighting amongst themselves !
Another instance of competing "narratives" was the duelling leaks over the "insurance policy" meeting in "Andy's office" .
The Compost leak had the "burner phones for Hillary material" and "insurance policy" as a fabricated cover for Strzok/Page affair.
The WSJ leak had the "insurance policy" meeting as real, and the FBI making investigation decisions based on campaign polls and their preferred candidate.
In the first leak, Page and Strzok are the only ones doing wrong, the rest of the FBI is in the clear. I suspect the second leak was from Strzok and Page camp signalling, "we will not take the fall for this alone".
The Curse of Trump strikes again !
MAGA !
