I buy it. The media and the democrats (there I go repeating myself again) have been attacking this bill, the entire concept of a tax cut, for months. They've told the same old tired lies over and over again, every night on every news cast and opinion show. It's hard to believe so many are so stupid but the majority still gets its news from ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBC and they've had a steady diet of 'tax cuts for the rich' for months.
Most people will see a somewhat fatter paycheck in February...maybe that will change some minds. the biggest benefit will come from a roaring economy. That's what I'm counting on.
I sort of believe the polls on the tax bill to a certain extent. Because it is real easy to think you are losing something on this when in fact your gaining.
Most people completely skim over the doubling of the standard deduction (which nearly everyone takes) and focus on the elimination or reduction of certain deductions (which they wouldn’t need or get anyway because of the doubling of the standard deduction).
Most people wont realize until April of 2019 that this actually was a HUGE tax cut for them.
