Chaffetz: Time for AG Sessions to Step Down
Newsmax ^ | 16 Dec 2017 | Sandy Fitzgerald

Former House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, Saturday called for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to be removed from office, saying that may be a cure for the "deep systemic problems" in the Department of Justice.

"It pains me to say this a little bit [but] I don't think the attorney general is up to the job he's doing," Chaffetz, now a contributor for Fox News, told the "Fox and Friends Saturday" program.

Sessions "had to remove himself from everything" involving President Donald Trump and that led to the appointment of Robert Mueller as special investigator in the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, said Chaffetz.

He also criticized the attorney general for not taking on a more active role in digging up information about several controversial figures at the DOJ, including Agent Peter Strzok, who was removed from the investigation after a series of anti-Trump text messages between him and a fellow agent were discovered.

Chaffetz said that Sessions also had told him that he would not prosecute Bryan Pagliano, Hillary Clinton's former chief tech staffer, who had refused a Congressional subpoena to testify about the 2016 Democratic nominee's use of a private email server.

Sessions had also refused to make documents on the Fast and Furious scandal public following the death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, Chaffetz said.

I am seriously concerned for Sessions, Trump and our country that the Deep State/Swamp has something on Sessions that is so harmful to him that he can not risk having it exposed...maybe something that would destroy his marriage or his relationship with his children. Any thoughts anyone??????

You can’t think of anything positive Sessions has done?
I can’t think of anything at all that he’s done ... except for defending the FBI and others from criticism.
Has he prosecuted anyone? That is what the USAG does, and it’s not like he doesn’t have dozens of criminal scoundrels and rogue cities/states still thumbing their noses at the law.
I once called him the Senate’s stud duck. But Jeff Sessions has become King Post Turtle.

Perhaps those sealed indictments are for child pornography. The one thing the DOJ has done is go after these pervs and arrest them country wide.

I would do the same and lets hope he reads here, LOL. The sad part is this, in my opinion, is the last chance we have to get our country back. One man can not do it by himself and President Trump needed all hands on deck with everyone wanting the same goal to make America great again.

Sessions is the biggest disappointment and someone as weak as he should not impede Trumps progress.

I still like Sessions and would like to see him utilized somewhere else; like as a Senator for Alabama but I have to agree. Thing just aren’t happening the way they should. There should already be a special investigation going on into the wrongdoings of the clinton crime family and the obama shenanigans; both one and the same in some ways.

Stop already for gods sake with these childish rants on Gowdy.
1) he did his job
2) such a fine job uncovering soooo much abjunior prosecutor out of college could get convictions!
3) the evidence is still out there because of his prosecutorial questioning but but wait a minute he isn’t a prosecutor
4) the Executive indicts and prosecutes so using your logic only our President and his AG only work when the lights come on
5) take your misplaced anger to the Executive at this point or stop blathering in about Gowdy you can’t have it both ways it is now in the ball court of our executive branch and I believe Trump said after inauguration he “wants the nation to heal”

So with 5 if you are fair then you’d slam Trump a hard as you rail Gowdy but I don’t know how because refer to point 2 if you have questions

ONE-TERM DONNY, how could a guy so smart be so dumb?

A low grade moron could have given the military free reign to annihilate ISIS, so at least he got that done.

Job one was to annihilate the domestic enemy using ALL MEANS NECESSARY and not playing by the rules.

We needed a Pinochet, we got a guy who raised taxes on the Middle Class and let the Banksters from GOLDMAN SACHS run amok.

Happy Hanukkah MNUCHIN and COHN!

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/11/republicans-slap-an-expiration-date-on-middle-class-tax-cuts/545996/

If Trump would have run on eliminating income tax deductions for W-2 workers while letting corporations keep theirs, I would have been one of those people dragged out of his rally’s for protesting, and he would be saying “get him out”.

He also would have never won.

This is a complete betrayal and scam orchestrated by Goldman Sachs “Too Big To Fail” jewish Banksters Mnuchin and Cohn, who have devised a scheme to make it impossible for W-2 workers to mitigate their tax exposure in the same way that corporations can still do.

This is also unequal protection under the law, a 14th Amendment violation.

They should have just cut the corporate to 22% and left the rest alone.

Got to hand it to Trump though, he just solved the deficit and the Social Security shortfall.

The amount of new revenue the scumbags in DC are going to bring in as a result of giving the W-2 suckers no place to hide is going to be ENORMOUS.

And he BEAT ISIS! .

This scam will be the end of his legislative accomplishments though, unfortunately, the odds of him ever getting another bill on his desk to sign are very slight.

The GOP majority WILL end in 2018

Oh and my medical deductible is still up to $6,800 from $500 before Obamacare.

What started out with such great promise, ends up with a one term presidency and a communist majority in Congress and the WH that will last a generation.

But Goldman Sachs and the BANKSTERS got what they needed.

Then Trump and Sessions are therefore larger Kabuki because indictments and prosecution sits with the Executive yet nothing is done.

I just read @ ZH, Sessions Balked at the idea we need a special counsel for the recent FBI texts messages. He said there is a reasonable explanation for it...

It does not sit with the executive (Trump). it is the FBI (Wray) and DOJ (Rosenstien) who have the responsibility, since Sleepy Sessions recused himself.

He was confirmed only because they knew he was a patsy and that the Clintons had enough s**t on him to keep him quite. Let DJT nominate Jay Sekulow for Attorney General and you’ll see an incomparable uproar.

He has been tough on the illegals and the gang members.

I think the illegals part is run by ICE, a department under Homeland Security, not DOJ.

“My opinion is, drop that nonsense right now.”

Absolutely. If there’s an unwritten policy that a prior administration is “let off” for every possible crime, then any President can go stark raving mad with criminal activity with no fear of consequences. America... what a country!

Maybe if you are a democrat.
