Oh My: FBI Deputy Chief Andrew McCabe Headed For The Exit?
Hot Air ^ | 16 Dec 2017 | Allahpundit

Posted on 12/16/2017 6:30:45 AM PST by mandaladon

McCabe has spent the past year popping up in the news for all the wrong reasons. In February 2016 he was promoted to deputy director and assumed oversight of the Hillary Emailgate investigation — after his wife had received nearly $700,000 from Democratic groups for a failed run for Virginia state senate. This past February he got caught talking to then-chief of staff Reince Priebus about an allegedly bogus Russiagate story in the NYT, a no-no since DOJ investigations are supposed to be independent of politics. His latest news cameo was (apparently) in the infamous text in August 2016 from FBI agent Peter Strzok to Lisa Page: “I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office – that there’s no way he [i.e. Trump] gets elected – but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.” Who’s “Andy”? Almost certainly it’s Andrew McCabe.

What was the “insurance policy” against Trump’s presidency that was discussed in McCabe’s office? McCabe is scheduled to testify about it before the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday.

Huh. Do Gowdy and the source know something? If only one of them had mentioned McCabe departing, I’d have assumed he was merely saying what he think *should* happen — McCabe *should* be fired or resign, now that he’s been tainted by suspicions that the Russiagate team has a vendetta against Trump. The fact that there are two GOPers whispering about it, though, makes me think Republicans on the committee have reason to believe something *will* happen. Seems hard to believe POTUS would drop the axe on McCabe, the Strzok text notwithstanding, after all the grief he’s gotten from firing Comey and with Mueller looking at evidence of obstruction of justice.

I judge performance based upon results acheived. If Hannity talking could put some swamp critters in prison I would be his biggest supporter.

Well, since he does not have that delegated power and is unlikely to be in law enforcement as a prosecutor, policeman, or judge, I'd suggest that you watch some sitcoms on commercial tv while he's on. meanwhile, I am extremely grateful for the information he provides.

I usually spend he time when Hannity is on FR. FR informs me much better without the constant repetition.

Any talk of Impeachment and Trump should have these jokers arrested by the military for an attempted coup.

GMTA. I was shouting, “What’s this ‘exit’ crap? He should be headed for a Federal pound-me-in-the-a$$ prison.” No; he doesn’t just get to “exit” and go on his merry way. All of them need to serve hard time.

He [Trey Gowdy] and his endless “hearings/investigations” are a NOTHING BURGER...NOTHING. He has not had one of these crooks, not single one, ever go to jail, not one. It’s all theatre and show for the “unwashed”.

Tell us where the Constitution grants Congress the authority to even indict anyone (except a president or federal judge), let alone send them to jail? We can't let our frustrations outrun our reason. Trey Gowdy has been doing his job exceptionally well, and Trump's executive branch must do its constitutional duty.

“Should be exiting the FBI and entering a federal prison...”

The entire Comey/Obama DOJ/FBI team should have been fired Jan. 20. Arrested later.

The russiagate probe is held together with duct tape. It will end up being folded into the history books under the category of humor.

You’re gonna need a poster the size of a billboard before it’s all over!

“You’re gonna need a poster the size of a billboard before it’s all over!”

BOL! Thanks to our grandson, who is the family IT, on his recommendation, I use Google documents. Google uses a Google cloud to store our items.

The storage on my Acer Chromebook is limited.

Travis may have to buy or rent a Cray computer.

I’d offer that after he swore to the details re every crime by the extended Clinton cabal, and all the anti-Trump machinations, naming every insider and outsider involved; delivered hard evidence to back it up; undertook in writing to testify in court against them all, including Hillary Clinton and her circle; and, pled guilty to his part in it all, I would consider recommending that the judge give him a life sentence with chance of parole, rather than the “without parole” he otherwise deserves. While he makes up his mind, he can stand naked on his knees atop a 1” dowel, in a puddle, in a freezing cold padded cell with 1000 watt lights in his face, and “Won’t You Take Me to Monkey Town???” screaming in an endless loop at 140 decibels. 4-5 days of that with no sleep and he’ll step up to his obligations.

A super duper threader app reader with the facts connected. It lays out what’s coming with #TheStorm.

Can’t wait until the turn of the calendar and what follows.

It will be sweet to see all those attacking the Hon. AG Jeff Sessions eat crow.
Thankfully, time is almost up.

What? The author believes that Trump would get grief for firing McCabe? Seriously?

Congress can do investigative oversight. That's what they are doing.

It's the DOJ that prosecutes.

Your complaint is misdirected.

Now, this DOJ IG investigation, that’s outside of Congress, may get somewhere.

I doubt it. The IG is Michael Horowitz, an Obama pick, He's best known for whitewashing Fast and Furious and protecting his friend Eric Holder.

Good luck with that.

FYI - be careful trusting anything from “Stealth Jeff” who is a McMullin voter, and one of the actual originators of the ‘Mueller and Trump are secretly working together’ BS on Twitter.
