No, she is American.
I am lucky. She had good, involved parents. We spent a lot of time together before we got married—and we were able to see a lot of “married” behaviors from our friends. You get a good sense of what you can “stand” and what you cannot.
She never tried to change me, nor I, her.
I guess the only thing I can complain about is that she wants to go to the bathroom just as they start boarding a plane. We almost never get overhead space.
