I think the great deals are part of the high sales numbers in 2017. Ammunition prices have dropped quite a bit as well.

.22 ammo is now available in WalMarts for less than 5 cents a round.

I saw some the other day at 4.13 cents a round for bulk 36 grain federal high velocity.
