Lord no. My mom wasn’t one of those moms who had the patience to let a little kid bake stuff. I learned to bake biscuits after I was married. LOL!

I figured she wouldn’t get to stay too long. Jobs get in the way. But it sounds like you’ll have a good visit while she’s there.

It was a good day in that Lorien FINALLY feels better after her overnight at the vet’s. She’s been wearing me out since I brought her home, though, crying for attention. She’s starting to calm down now.

Good night and sleep well. UGH on that 3:30 a.m. wake-up. LOL! At least it’s only 3 days a week.

Howdy, Kathy.

Are the streets as slick as they look on the cams? I hope that’s just water and not ice.

Oh no, LUV! I hope you aren’t sick! Maybe you’ll feel better after a good night’s sleep in your own bed.

I need a place to just BE tonight.....difficult family news today...they say things come in 3’s....I really don’t need a 3rd one!... Trying to escape in music does helps...thank God we have that to soften bad news.

Proverbs comes to mind...’Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding’......

I hope I'm not sick, too. I think, like you said, I'm just whpped, mentally and physically. When I hit the door this afternoon, I could actually feel the energy draining out my toes. I tried to take a nap and had chills to the point I didn't think I'd be able to warm up. But I pulled up the quilt and did and slept for a while.

I think tomorrow will be a better day. If I just disappear, you'll know I crashed. LOL! No watching any TV shows tonight! LOL!

How is Miss Lorien doing tonight? Is it colder there or are y'all having a warm up?

This is the kitty sammich for my naptime and it helped me to warm up. :) Peaches has to touch me with his paw. Sweet ol' thing! The maroon bits are my sweats & I couldn't get the two of them in the same photo frame. .

Being really tired can make you feel like you’re coming down with something sometimes. I hope that’s all it is and that you didn’t pick up some sort of crud during your travels. Glad you made it home safe and sound at least.

Your kittehs look mighty happy to have you home again. Couldn’t wait to make you a kitteh sammich. Too sweet.

Lorien’s much better now after being filled with fluids overnight into today. They apparently kept her hooked up until I arrived to pick her up. She’s eating again but it’ll take a day or two to get her steam built back up.
She wants nothing to do with the other cats but she sure won’t leave me alone. She’s either in my lap or sitting next to the chair, crying the whole time. Crying and purring if she’s in my lap. It was a traumatic experience for her, I reckon. But worth it. She was more dehydrated than I realized. The vet said if I’d waited another day, it might have been too late.

Still pretty nippy here and will be for one more day. Then we SHOULD be in the 50s for the next several days. Works for me!

The wind was pretty strong at the cemetery yesterday and that might have stirred some OK allergies up. LOL! But I’m going to crash in just a few minutes.

They WERE glad to see me. And I them! :)

Sure glad your best instincts were to take your girlie in. I think she’s very grateful that you knew how she was feeling.

It’s supposed to be pretty cold here tonight, but then warm up again tomorrow. If this temperature roller coaster wouldn’t make a person sick, I don’t know what would.

Nite. See ya mañana for tuneage. Bad as I hate to, I guess it’s time to drag out the Christmas tunes. LOL!
