Democrats should go after Ted Cruz.
"The Week" ^ | 12.14.2017 | Ryan Cooper

Democrats' shocking victory in the Alabama Senate special election undoubtedly has raised their potential list of seats they might win. If they can win in the Deep South, they can win anywhere.

High on the list of reach targets is Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who is up for re-election in 2018. Hillary Clinton did quite well in Texas, only losing by 9 points (better than she did in Iowa) — as compared to nearly 28 points in Alabama. What's more, Democrats have a solid candidate in the form of Rep. Beto O'Rourke from El Paso.

There was a report out of Indiana, (during the Indiana primary) that got no national coverage, that could be construed that Ted does like old women.. something about iCarly.. prepare yourself, that is IF the libtards decide to go after his Senate seat.

This is what they do every single time. They take any sign in their favor at all, the least little thing, and with a collective sigh, they scream....

"America, finally gets our message. They like us and are ready to embrace glorious socialism."

Watch them go off the deep end for the next few months. We'll hear stories about how they're going to get 75% of the House next year, and 30, maybe even 40, governorships.

Totally overplay their hand and misread the tea leaves.

I’m in my 30’s. What would you say if I came around looking to date your 14 year old daughter? Why are you insisting that we defend the indefensible? Even he couldn’t defend himself in a friendly interview! That’s why he freaking lost.

You know what I’d say if someone leveled these charges at me and I was innocent? “These women are outright liars, and I will take a polygraph and demand that each of them do the same. And, when I’m cleared, I’m going to fill up my swimming pool with all the money that I sue out of them.”

If I were guilty, I would give answers along the lines of what Moore said to Hannity. Got it? Good.

The new weapon for winning - Use sex harassment. Heart went down, Bork went down, Moore went down, maybe Franklin, and many others. Trump is still in the sights. So who is next??

A) he’s a public figure
B) it’s true

In a just world, you'd stand trial for such outlandish statements.

But worry not: Your trial for bearing false witness shall come.

When did Trump beat Moore? Did Moore run for President in 2016? (There were so many candidates it is hard to remember them all.)

“...all the Bushies voting for her...” What?

Didn't you hear? George H.W. Bush voted for Hillary. Barbara voted for Hillary. Dubya voted for Hillary. Laura voted for Hillary. Their daughters voted for Hillary.

The only Bush that didn't vote for Hillary was George P. Bush who was running for state treasurer and knew it would hurt his electability.

The same thing happened in Missouri decades ago.
It allowed Claire McCackle two terms in the senate.

I’d have been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt if he gave a little more convincing defense of himself. I’d have voted for him anyway over Jones or any of the communists, but it’s counterproductive to lie to ourselves about why he lost.

I agree, and the assertion that he lost because he was a "flawed candidate" is one such example of lying to ourselves. He may have been a "flawed candidate", but he had won statewide election in 2013, and would have done so again easily in the absence of these unprovable accusations.

He lost primarily because of these accusations, and to a large degree because his own Party behaved exactly as if these allegations were true. Richard Shelby more or less wrecked his chances. The exact margin of the "write in" vote would have won it for him.

Richard Shelby urged people to "write in" some other name.

We’ll get Mo Brooks in there for Trump’s second term, so let’s pick ourselves up and demolish them next November.

I very much doubt we will be finished dealing with the fallout from this disaster by then. Now that the Democrats know mere accusations can win them an election, I dare say they will try this again, and they are already ramping up this tactic against Trump.

No, we threw the baby out with the bathwater this time.

I would have voted for Judge Moore but he was a not that well liked in Alabama.

He won statewide election in 2013. Why would it be unreasonable to believe that absent those unprovable accusations he would have done so again?

Moore would have won had the party not stabbed him in the back. He almost did anyway. In fact, it is not yet completely over, and he may yet win, though it's looking unlikely.

Just stop with you incessant name calling garbage.

Sheesh - you are the slowest learner on this board.

Ted Cruz is not Roy Moore, and a mid-term election is not a special election. Cruz should win with upwards of 60% of the vote.

Well, look at you on the high horse. You started with the name calling, so I gave it right back to you. If you don’t like it, maybe you should just learn when to shut up.

Oh, spare me the sermon. If there were any justice, Roy Moore would have faced it long ago, and we’d still have that seat.
