John McCain, battling brain cancer, in Walter Reed from effects of treatment
WaPo ^ | 14 Dec 2017 | Paul Kane

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has been admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for recovery from the side effects of another round of treatment for brain cancer, according to his office.

McCain, who missed a third straight day of Senate votes Wednesday, has been undergoing rounds of chemotherapy and radiation to treat glioblastoma, the terminal form of brain cancer he was diagnosed with in July. McCain has been undergoing treatments since early September at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, next to Walter Reed.

Two friends close to McCain, requesting anonymity to speak about his condition, said there were no plans for the senator to resign. In a statement issued from his office, McCain hopes to return “to work as soon as possible.”

Republican leaders expect to hold a vote early next week on the sweeping tax-cut plan that is currently in a House-Senate negotiation. The Senate version initially passed with 51 votes. If McCain missed the vote on final passage, Republicans would not be able to afford a single additional defection or absence to pass the legislation.

Why not April 1?

That would have been appropriate, as well.

They already have a list of people, and are ready to go.

One of the listed folks is Martha McSally, former military and has been fairly respected around the southern part of Arizona.

"How come he hasn’t been asked to step down from the Senate??"

Because McConjob, McVain and other RINO Swamp creatures realize Gov Doug Doucey would appoint someone that might actually represent the people of AZ, instead of D.C..

Was he going to the VA for his treatment before? Now he’s at the VA with the dossier blowing up in his face

Never underestimate the ability of the GOPe to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Imagine that! Hopefully he gets put on the bottom of the VA wait list like all the real military folks who desperately need care.

I cannot wait to spit on his grave. The worst thing that EVER happened to the US (besides Oblowme) was McStain coming home sans body bag.

We have a few good candidates out here. They need to have bag packed and be on standby.

Unlike Congressman Conyers, he doesn’t get to choose. :-)

Just more fake health issues to cover for political problems. The last time the ethics vultures were circling, Songbird appeared in a leg cast that accidentally switched legs. Now that his involvement in the dossier is again coming under scrutiny, he is plying health as cover in exchange for sympathy.

I want to maintain the high road and pray for McCain, but I just feel he is as evil as the rest of em’, so like other posters I will pray that he changes his heart and starts acting in the best interest of the country.

No prayers for McCain. Prayers that the universe will unfold in the way that God wants it to.
