Harmless background noise for me that keeps the wife entertained while I surf the interwebs.
When your stomach is in knots because of the unending stupidity of the arguments, the Hallmark movies are an escape, a soothing, happy escape. Thats what movies are supposed to be
So we record them, watch them all, and sometimes even twice.
:-)
And the latest one with Emelie Ullerup! My heart grows faint...
For those whose families have been ripped apart by betrayal, selfishness, mental illness, etc, Christmas is a curse not fun.
If you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all.
I’m guessing my spouse has seen everyone of these Hallmark shows at least a dozen times. She really enjoys them as they remind her of the simpler times when she grew up on a farm. And I think that’s part of the attraction, and why the Hallmark Channel has such high ratings.
What the Hallmark Channel Christmas movies show is... normal. Normal people is rather normal circumstances. A world that has not been corrupted with terrorism, gender confusion, licentiousness, and such. In other words, it shows a life we all long to regain. A more normal and less sin saturated culture. The human heart longs for such, and even more so as cultural depravity consumes so many. That’s why it is so popular.
My wife and I have been going through the entire marathon. And since there are reruns, you can see the scenes you missed the first time it was on. There's no CGI, and most of the characters are likeable.
Hallmark could start other series based on other holidays, and capture a large market all year long. Real escape television, the way it is supposed to be.
For some reason, my favorite one for this year, has been the one with Jodie Sweetin...the former Full House actress. (Several former FH actresses are now in these Hallmark Movies.)
People from all walks of life are watching Christmas movies on Hallmark. Whatever the authors agenda, the movies helped his wife get through cancer.
Hallmark Christmas movies feature Christianity & CHRISTMAS.
I prefer to watch it during this Christmas season instead of obsessing about Hillary not being in prison. Yes, we yelled LOCK HER UP at a Trump rally, which is still my hope.
I actually have watched a few of them lately. I felt guilty about it, of course.
I agree!
Be guilt free...:)
You are so right.
Hallmarks 2002 movie Silent Night is a true story from WWII. Rated 7.7 Very good. Also another movie that really touched my heart was also released in 2002: A Christmas Visitor.
Ive seen Hallmark movies about those topics.
Would like that...
The young girl who, rather than get married, left her boyfriend to go to San Francisco and became a TV news celebrity. She gets to see how good it would have been to become a wife and a mom via a Christmas wish ten years later.
We haven't seen anything that un-PC in forever.
Well, we have always enjoyed Hallmark Christmas movies, but it is especially nice to be able to turn off the talking heads and find watchable TV, without finger on the remote trigger to change the channel when something offensive appears.
This long, boring, overly-wrought article was an odd stretch of a set up to dishonestly and incorrectly bash President Trump and Deplorables, by quoting another JournoList Wannabe.
Really, though, this guy likes to hear himself to type - or he had a 50,000 word article due and just used a lot of blather for filler. Or maybe he was pitching a movie?
