11 Things Every Real Conservative Should Ask On A First Date

1. Do you believe that any group’s lives matter more than others? The answer should be a resounding, “Yes!”

My first "date" with my wife would not have started well if I took that tack. She is a Canadian living in Canada at the time.

2. How many genders are there? The proper answer is, “Two.”
No, for most languages, the answer is THREE (masculine, feminine and neuter). The answer is two if we are talking about electrical connectors. If "gender" is used as a substitute for the word "sex", it is either a blunder or a jocularism (Fowler's Modern English, 2nd. Ed.)

3. How do you work to dismantle sexism in your life?
Just asking the question like that would have gotten ME dismissed, so it is better off unasked. Depending on mood, the best response besides a dismissal of the asker is either a Danny Thomas-style spit-take, followed by "Huh?!", or if in a lighter mood, "Dismantle it?! I embrace it!"

4. What are your thoughts on guns?
Unless she is a budding Annie Oakley, it is perfectly fine to answer "That's for the man of the house to determine. What are YOUR thoughts on guns?"

5. Do you support Israel in its fight against Seventh Century savagery?
The seventh century reference has nothing to do with anything. A fourth century Constantine has more decency, and a pre-Christian Cicero, Pericles or Hammurabi ditto. Now, if it is a matter of opposing Islam, pretty much all who are working against it are okay, but the Israelis ought to do something about their pro-aborts and perverts if they truly want God's blessing.

None of the questions had to do with whether the girl in question is okay with allowing mothers to slaughter children legally through abortion, nor do they ask about attitudes towards things that affect a marriage, practice of religion, such as pre-marital relations, openness to life, how to provide for a child's education (including home schooling), etc.

Attitudes on Israeli policy are not as germane as these types of questions, and I am glad that my wife and I knew we had compatible answers to those BIG questions before we married.
