The question is, how many these days even know of these goals. The book they came out of was published in 1958, which is going to be sixty years ago next year. That and another book, Goldwater’s Conscience of a Conservative, has a whole lot of warnings against the very things we are seeing play out today.

Walmart has been curiously quiet in the face of this terrible slur against not just their bread and butter customers but the very idea of Walmart. Now why might that be? Do the unfortunately leftist heirs of Sam Walton actually agree? That’s actually worse than the stupidity of the NFL as far as offending and running off customers. Do they somehow believe themselves to be the only game in town, like GUM in the old Soviet Union or something? There are now credible options to Walmart, it isn’t unavoidable. This is a PR disaster or would be, if Walmart gave a damn.
