Brooks 2020, but this is 2017, and a lot of things can go wrong in the United States Senate in the next three years.

I believe I read elsewhere that Brooks has an especially nasty form of prostate cancer and may not even be alive in 2020.

How about we take a class in Ronald Reagan 101, where the opening paragraph of the text book says Commandment Number One - never speak poorly of or attack another Republican in public.
With the corollary of one the primary is over, close ranks and support the winner

Brooks was the better candidate indeed, but the swamp loved corruptocrat strange instead. Moore was second best.

Most important, now Mo Brooks can run in 2020 and return the seat to a respectable Alabamian who is rock-solid on the most important issue. Ain't gonna happen. Doug Jones will be re-elected and serve as long as he pleases.
This sort of thing has happened before. Ultra-liberals such as George McGovern, Quentin Burdick and Birch Bayh each spent decades representing "red" states in the Senate, and Doug Jones will follow in that tradition. Mo Brooks, recently diagnosed with cancer, might not even run.

Mo Brooks is great. Kudos to Ann for seeing it and saying it. That said, it was a disaster to get a liberal Democrat Senator from Alabama. Fiasco.
