Deputy AG Won’t Say Whether The FBI Paid For Dossier
The Daily Caller ^ | 12/13/17 | Chuck Ross

Posted on 12/13/2017 12:50:43 PM PST by x1stcav

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein refused to say on Wednesday whether the FBI paid for the infamous Trump dossier.

Rosenstein, who was grilled by the House Judiciary Committee, suggested that he knew the answer to the question, which was posed by Florida Rep. Ron DeSantis.

“Did the FBI pay for the dossier?” DeSantis asked.

“I’m not in a position to answer that question,” Rosenstein responded.

“Do you know the answer to the question?” the Republican DeSantis followed up.

“I believe I know the answer, but the Intelligence Committee is the appropriate committee…” Rosenstein began.

DeSantis interjected to assert that the Judiciary panel has “every right to the information” about payments for the dossier.

I would so like to see a non-cooperating witness be told they will be arrested on the spot and kept in the Congressional jail if they don’t answer the questions.

They need to start charging people with contempt of Congress

I mean right now.

Give Rosenstein 24 hours to provide the answer or put him in jail.

He had to be corrupt to agree to be the point man on maintaining the cover up for the myriad crimes of the Kenyanesian Usurpation.

I am going to guess that the “insurance policy” that FBI’s Strotz emailed his mistress about was dirt on Sessions.

Lacking any other information, my guess

Exactly. The money does not belong to DOJ. It is Congress that appropriates it - "No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time."

So Mr. Rosenstein has been called to account for the receipts and expenditures of funds entrusted to the DOJ. And it is not in Mr. Rosenstein's discretion to determine when, if and how that accounting shall happen, but, it turns out, the Congress's. Again the Constitution states:

The Congress shall have the powers ...To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

And an officer thereof is certainly what Mr. Rosenstein is.

I’ve come to the tentative conclusion that this whole thing is a Clinton-controlled CIA op against Trump. Fusion GPS is clearly a CIA cutout that was supposed to mask the CIA’s meddling in US domestic affairs. Created and staffed by Clintonoids from way back, funded by the DNC which had been purchased, lock, stock and barrel, by Clinton. They produced work product that could be used by the similarly corrupted FBI to take to the yet further similarly corrupted FISA court to get a rubber stamped OK for the Clintonoid FBI to spy on Trump - spying that had been going on illegally anyway at CIA but now with a legal fig leaf.

“I believe I know the answer, but the Intelligence Committee is the appropriate committee…” Rosenstein began.

Since when does an individual giving testimony to Congress get to decide what testimony is “appropriate”?!?

If Republicans had any testicles left, Rosenstein would have ordered to answer the question or be arrested for contempt of Congress until he decided it was “appropriate” to answer.

If it were ‘No’, he would have said so, emphatically.

Since he attempted an evasive answer and hid behind the ‘National Security’ blanket, we know the answer is ‘Yes, they did pay for the dossier.”.................................

You’re right. If the answer is yes they are just stalling for more time to hope that the answer will never surface. Hold him in contempt and lock him up in the basement.
