I know the group that works all our polls. A couple of them hang out in the mornings at McDonalds having coffee. You know, the “senior bunch”. My father-in-law is very much a regular so I am on polite speaking terms with all of them.
I voted at midday, and I was # 206 when my ballot was swiped. I was surprised, usually in my town of 5,000 there’d be at least 500. Well, I asked the poll guy I knew how busy they had been. “Not very.” was his reply.
I went to Hardee’s to get a biscuit this morning. The McDonalds is closed due to construction. Saw the same guy there. He said not many people came through in total.
Now, I’ll just say this anecdotally, but my town is very Republican, 75-80% white. Our votes were a shadow of what we totaled in November 2016.
Why more people didn’t vote? I don’t know.
On our side only 50% of voters voted compared to 2016, Dems had a 92% turnout compared to 2016, I pray that OUR SIDE hasnt just thrown their hands up in the air and said SCREW IT!!!! I would blame fraud HOWEVER what your friend is saying appears to be true!!!!! SOMEBODY needs to get into Alabama and find out WHY our side did not vote!!! Alabama is VERY Christian these folks have known Moore for YEARS why would they not have walked over broken glass to vote for the man I find it very hard to believe they swallowed the CRAP SANDWICH being fed to them!!!!!
Why more people didnt vote? I dont know.

Granted it was an important election. But it is
hard to get voters to the polls when there is only
one position on the ballot. That’s a shame but that
is the way it is.
Early voting may have helped some but it isn’t allowed
in Alabama.
Sure would be interesting to find out...was it the media? Moore as a candidate? Something else?
